Wasim was born in Lebanon in 1982 to a Lebanese mother and a Palestinian father. Growing up, Wasim lived in a refugee camp in Damascus for ten years, where he completed his primary education. He then went to high school in Gaza, after which he moved to Chicago to study Computer Science.
Wasim worked for the International Committee of the RedCross in Gaza between 2006 and 2010. He also worked for a few international organizations and non-governmental institutes for a number of projects aiming to develop practices of democracy in the West Bank. Wasim joined OneVoice Movement in 2011 as a Project Coordinator, and now works for Zimam Palestine as the Director of Communications & PR.
Wasim is married and a father of two girls. He loves music, food and video games.
