Zimam is a pioneering grassroots youth movement that challenges the status quo. Working with the leaders of tomorrow, we are building a more democratic, actively engaged and pluralistic society.

We work across nine governorates in the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem. Our programs empower young people on the one hand and transform public thinking on the other. We do what we do because we believe that our communities deserve better and because we trust that we have the talent and capabilities to make real change.

Inspired and driven by values of democracy, pluralism, non-violence, and responsibility, we are building the foundations for a peaceful future. A future where we live in a sovereign, independent and prosperous Palestinian State free of occupation.

What We Do

The leadership incubator

Is a 12-month program which attracts emerging leaders between the ages of 20 and 35. These young people lead action campaigns aimed at social transformation and engage in problem-solving workshops and high-level meetings with business, social, and political leaders. The aim of the program is to provide an opportunity for young leaders to refine their skills, build their personalities and develop an understanding of how the real world works so that they can effectively serve their communities.

Is a social impact project which uses music and the art of dialogue to spark constructive conversation around pressing issues across all social, political and religious realms. The aim of the program is to foster freedom of expression, acceptance and respect for difference, and embrace diversity as a positive trait. We believe that a society that embraces those values is a society that is necessarily less violent, more forward-thinking and more conducive to creativity and innovation.
